AKSUNGUR is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) class UAV System, capable to perform day and night Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and strike missions with EO/IR, SAR and SIGINT payloads, and a variety of air to ground weapons. AKSUNGUR is powered by two PD-170 twin-turbocharged diesel engines enabling long endurance operations up to 40,000ft.
AKSUNGUR can carry a total of 24 MAM-L ammunition at the same time thanks to its 6 stations. With this ammunition load, the duration of AKSUNGUR in the air is 12 hours. AKSUNGUR can also carry 4 Teber-81 or 2 Teber-82 ammunition. In this way, AKSUNGUR has a significantly improved ammunition capacity compared to the previously developed ANKA UAV / SİHA. Thanks to this capacity, AKSUNGUR will alleviate the load on fighter aircraft such as F-16 and F-4.
AKSUNGUR will be made available to the Turkish Armed Forces and other potential customers in 2020.
